After two days of emailing customer service (I could not get a real person on the phone) I received a very nasty response to my request. The CS rep said I was unable to comprehend what he was saying, accused me of name calling (I asked if he was being deliberately obtuse), and contradicted himself when referring to the warranty on parts and service. The conversation has been posted to Facebook.

I started having problems with my phone and alarm. The alarm company said I had to call the phone company, the phone company said I had to call the alarm company. I had them out individually because I could never get them there at the same time. The phone technician ended up cutting a lot of wires and Safetouch said I needed to rewire my whole home. The last alarm tech to come to my home wanted to leave exposed wires hanging down my walls. I paid over a year on an alarm system that wouldn't work and when I called to cancel they acted like they didn't care.

I recently am having a financial hardship and called safe-touch if there is something i can do to cancel my account. They told me that they need it on writing with the reason for the cancellation. I have a 3 yr contract and i tried to keep it as long as i can. I made it to the 28th month at least. After a few weeks, i got a call from them and basically don't care what kind of hardship i'm going thru but there is nothing they can do. I offered to at least pay some kind of penalty and they refused it. This is safe touch for you. No humanity.

Lost everything

I was burglarized with Safetouch. I had every piece of equipment and I lost $1.8 million in the largest jewelry store heist in North Florida and Safetouch was my security company. Even the backup systems failed. They also have a $250 liability limit in their contract . BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. Never a word from Lester. Please read their reviews before signing your life away with their contract that ties you up for forever. I had two way communicator did not work. Cellular backup did not work. Tamper proof everything and still all of it failed. No response at all when they failed to get signals all night. Was told for years that it was like Fort Knox and no way anyone could get in. They have hundreds of businesses that have been burglarized with their service so do yourself a favor and do your research.

Sounds as if it may have been an inside job...would make sense why backup and everything else failed. Come to think of it, sounds like it could be a lucrative living for a crook.

Faulty equipment. Unreliable.

System is less than 5 months old. Door alarm went bad a month after it was installed.

We went without our paid for alarm system for a week. Now a month later same door same problem. Talked to the service dept. and bypassed the door (!) .

That's real good security !!!! Set the alarm to go to store came back and disarmed system. Guess what same problem same door. Now we wait 10 days with out our system.

I had hoped we would have no problems with the security of our Home. I have spent over 1.3 hours on hold then I have to set the system that doesn't work. We will wait this service call out but I believe Lester should look into buying quality equipment instead of the cheap stuff.

If the alarm system is not corrected to Our satisfaction then I will request a refund and take our business else were. Oh and if Lester put as much money in his equipment as he does in advertising I probably won't be wasting more of my time writing this complaint.

You won't get a refund or even be able to cancel. Chances are you were tricked into signing a five year contract (I was told it was two years) like we were. My system has not worked for over a year but I am still paying monthly and will have to continue to pay for something I cannot use until the contract is up.

Trapped by safe touch

do not i repeat do not do business with these people i signed up with them paying 13.95 per month while oweing for the equipment and pait 1300.00 cash to pay for it thinking it would go down instead it went up to $43,90 per month after 4 years on a 3 year contract i tried to cancel the told e to email retention@***h and still getting bills from i called and the rep told me its 3 years plus a 2 years for the contract and saying i can lower it to 38.95 if you do auto draft ,i said no way i can do that because can't be trusted with that.they will trap you so don't do business with them.get ADT i am so pissed i am getting a lawyer

I got my Safe Touch system 5 1/2 years ago. I finally called them because the one panic button I had no longer worked. They asked me about the other one. I honestly don't remember getting 2. Maybe I gave it to my daughter, who knows. Anyways, I am no longer under contract and just month to month. When they came out to change my battery, they gave me a new remote instead of changing my battery. The remotes are completely different now. They would NOT give me a 2nd one, even though I haven't seen it is over 5 years. I would have had to pay $34.00 (Not that it was much but it was the point). If I had it, they would have given me a new one and probably thrown my old outdated ones away.......Even though I threatened to go to a different company, they didn't care. After over 5 years of ALWAYS paying my bills they couldn't give me the 2nd panic remote? I am going to check with other companies and get their prices.......if I do ever find a 2nd remote, they will have to make a 2nd trip to my home to exchange it......I am sure it costs them more than the $34.00 to send someone to my house each time......I feel like I received very POOR customer service. I would not recommend them at this point.

@Safe_Touch since we can not find a corp contact # - I'll just complain here & everywhere else possible. WE HATE your commercial which begins w/doorbell sound effect. Almost always wakes up sleeping baby & hard working husband, Dog barks, hubby answers door; the doorbell sound effect is MUCH too loud! Every single time I hear your commercial it makes me angry, I've tried to not let it bother me but it has me steaming. I even suggested my neighbor use another security company because I feel that your commercial disrupts our peaceful living environment, and is disrespectful (it also plays about 10x's every evening). I'm down right aggravated about this & may even look into your company shareholders & contact them regarding this, in hope to bring peace back into our lives, especially during primetime/ late night television. If you have any comments or contact info that may be able to address this issue, we'd be greatly appreciative. This company has very bad customer service and does not care about keeping customers. I have been a customer for many years and I talked to a rep to upgrade the system. The reps are very poorly trained and don't handle customers properly, quick to the point and disrespectful. I will be changing companies when I find a better deal.

State of Florida outlawed "Evergreen" contracts that hold you hostage to companies like Safetouch. You must follow the instructions as outlined in the FL Statute, but I KNOW it can be done.

Because, I did it -even with threats from Safetouchs' tacky little lawyer outfit. They can't do a thing ANYMORE because of this FL statute.

It was made to specifically to stop those crooks!

I have had nothing but problems with this company! smoke detector was faulty &would just go off randomly in the middle of the night! Your so startled thinking someone is breaking into your home! FIre department shows up & goes threw your home !

I had no idea the contract was 5yr /guess you should really read fine print / you have to own a computer to reset your wifi camera / i have no need for a computer! Just bad bad situation all around /please think about having them install anything in yiur home

I had a low battery alarm last wensday, called early Thursday morning. I have to wait 6 days before tech can come out. Every 4hrs the control panel starts beeping.losing sleep! I'm pissed! Poor service!!

We had the same problem. I opened all doors set the alarm and bypassed the doors and OT did not beep every four hours.

I had to deal with it for almost two weeks waiting for them to fix it

This company is awful and the suck huge.....

I have to use fifty words to be able to post this... That is ***!!

Very professional

The technician Jamie arrived on time and installed the set up in a very professional manner Neat and tidy work and explained the whole process in a step by step way. The price and equipment was very reasonable . with remote excess I elected to move to safe touch because i heard many positive things about them. The equipment was sleek with great features. The entire process to install took less time then i expected. all in all it was well worth it good, its all good,its all good its all good its all good its all good its all good its all good
